Now in it’s 4th year the Dorset International Tango Festival has established itself as a friendly and well run Festival that combines quality teaching in a relaxed atmosphere. For 2020, the Festival will move venue and take place in the Marsham Court Hotel, Bournemouth.

Leonardo & Tracey

Leonardo and Tracey are the hosts and organisers of 2 major annual Festivals in the UK. Leo is one of the most authentic Milongueros currently living in the UK. After 16 years of living and teaching in London, he moved to the Bournemouth area and together with his partner Tracey has established the largest Argentine Tango School in Dorset over the last 3 years.

Ricardo Calvo & Sandra

Ricardo & Sandra

Ricardo Calvo and Sandra Messina met in 2005. They are exceptional dancers that combine technical precision with elegance and humour which characterises their dancing. Their art is innovative yet traditional. They are much sought after "masters" offering a complete, organic and progressive method of teaching, making tango accessible to everyone, both amateurs and professionals. Creators of shows, they share their time between Buenos Aires and Paris, and travel around the world.

Luis & Elizabeth

Luis & Elizabeth return to Dorset after a very popular debut at our recent Bournemouth Aires Festival. This couples teaching was a hit with many of our students and we are delighted to be able to welcome them back. They will be doing 1 workshop and a performance at the Festival and Luis will also be Djing for part of the evening with Leo on Saturday evening at the Grand Milonga.

Martin Acosta

Mino & Bridget

Mino and Bridget run the popular Tango in Wimbledon in London. They are experienced teachers and dancers of the social Tango and specialise in the Milonguero and Salon styles with an emphasis on technique and musicality.

By purchasing a ticket to the festival you consent to filming, sound recording and photography as a member of the audience and such material may be used for commercial or non-commercial use.


The organisers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury of any kind.


If the festival is cancelled, the organisers shall not be liable for any costs or expenses incurred by the ticket holder, including but not limited to, accommodation or transport costs or any direct or indirect losses or damage of whatever kind.

The Tango Terra Quartet

We are delighted to welcome back to the Festival, the Tango Terra Quartet who were extremely popular when they played at last years festival. This popular quartet of musicians consist of Bandoneon, Piano, double bass and Violin led by Martin Espindola and are based in the UK and France.
